Welcome to my corner of children’s stories!
I’m Chad Walker, a dad from North Carolina, who started telling bedtime tales to my own little ones and never quite stopped.
What began as sleepy-time whispers turned into my first book Under the Forest Floor,
and then the Fluffy the Bunny Series—gentle, illustrated picture books full of woodland adventures, curious characters, and the kind of simple lessons that stick with kids long after lights out.
The new series stars Fluffy, a soft grey bunny with the twitchiest ears in the woods, always bursting with questions and ready to explore. Alongside his responsible big brother Flip, sweet and helpful little sister Petal, and a colorful crew of forest friends. Fluffy learns that curiosity is wonderful… but gets to experience life-lessons and learn about family and friends along the way.
The first book, Fluffy and the Alligators, follows Fluffy’s sneaky trip to the shimmering pond beyond the trees—where rules get tested in the most exciting way. It’s a cozy read-aloud about safety, family, and making good choices, wrapped in bright illustrations and heartwarming moments.
The series existed first as bedtime stories– and a unique way to learn life lessons and big concepts.
So every story in the new series opens the same way, because the existing bedtime tradition matters to my kids:
“Once upon a time there was a little bunny that lived on the edge of the woods, and his name was Fluffy.”
I am writing these for my kids, as well as for families who want stories that feel personal, warm, and just a little bit magical—perfect for snuggling up at bedtime.
